Its seems to me that it's not pot or reflux stilling and it would be a new and fun subject and learning experience for a lot of us.
For me vacuum distilling is well remember that part about the victrola and the dog. I'm starting to get it but not really.

its simple,, pressure increases boiling/vapor temperature(pressure canners), vacuum decrease boiling/vapor temperature. so if you lower the pressure enough a liquid will boil at room temperature, the problem is that all has to be seald. even the collection.
