thorn_veritas thats rotten, is it realy that price or do they just got you by the short ones? western u.s. price is less than half that price on scrap copper. i wish i could help. cob
I just got offered 2 metres of 6" copper in good condition for $140, I was looking for 1 metre of 4", I could use 6" with a push but don't need 2 metres and he would not cut it. BTW 1 metre is $180 per metre trade price here.

The best bunger gun in the street
I found a local scrappie that sells for $7/kg but a lot of plumbing stuff. Dirty, bent and green.
Some of the joints done by plumbers are scary. One piece went from 2" to 1/2" without a joiner in sight. Just crimped and soldered.
