Mine are the same dunder. Which reminds me, I should be wearing my specs.

Simple potstiller. Slow, single run.
(50 litre, propane heated pot still. Coil in bucket condenser - No thermometer, No carbon)
The Reading Lounge AND the Rules We Live By should be compulsory reading

Cumudgeon and loving it.

Thank you, folks. Much appreciated. 8)

All grain mash going okay. In the middle of it now. More later.

Hey Boss. You could blow through here every other day or so for your "farewell tour" and create a cult like following. 8) :D
Is it a financially rewarding gig?
birdwatcher wrote:Re your eyes, buying the largest flat screen available is a good suggestion and then there are ways to increase the size of the print on the screen. Talk to a good computer techie; that's not me, for sure.

The last time I went to a real eye doctor for tests, as well as regular glasses, he set me up with real reading glasses. What a difference that makes. No comparison to those things sold in drug stores.
I was an electronic tech in my distant background, so techie stuff is no real problem, and still got some good computer people connections.

Got a big, high quality LCD screen, and been experimenting with different things for a while, like distance between me and the screen, different fonts and font sizes, colour, contrast, etc, and all this helps, but it has its limits too. You can only blow things up so big.

Main problems for me are stamina, holding focus, and tracking detail, which makes it a big problem to read much text, especially blocks of text. Been using text-to-speech more and more, and I can also touch type okay so I can still write. Actually need to spend some time soon looking at the more advanced programs. They take some serious learning and setting up to use properly.

Also been discovering the world of audiobooks, some nice stuff in there.

I agree completely about getting proper prescription glasses. The cheap factory ones are okay for emergency spares, or for doing a bit of dirty work, or taking camping. But get and use proper prescription ones for most of the time. Money very well spent.

You guys had yours done that way deliberately by the doc? My old man had that operation recently, after wearing glasses all his life. Hasn't worn them since. Loves it.

Fine, we will simply have to double your pay again, over what you were making as a moderator, for your new consulting fees.
