I've finished running 2-gals of 50/50 vinegar & water, then ran a 5-gal turbo classic ferment through a new pot still.
Is this recognized as enough before starting collection runs?? I rinse the column with hot water after each use.
I don't see any build up in the column and "output" is literally crystal clear, a middle cut of turbo was 63%.
I'm running a WPOSW now and wondering if it's "good to go" ? Grats

Some people are more or less finicky, but I'd say you are good to go. That is pretty much the same cleaning routine I used on my pot and my column and I ain't dead yet.

Thanks braz, I'm just finishing up 3.5 gal of WPOSW and other than the first 200 ml (acetone) I cannot make any distinctions.
I ordered a new larger boiler (7- gals) so I can do a whole 6 gal ferment at once, I hear this is typical with small size boilers.
Thanks for the input, I'm waiting for a 'patina" to form, output is crystal clear really, I'm pushing the heat a little looking for "tails"
to no avail, maybe its just a very clean mash ?? Thanks !
