Hey Gents
Reading the thread on Oak Alternatives gave me a thought
Has anyone tried to make a Bundy Red?
I'm not up to that yet
Just throwing it out there cause I do like the taste of Bundaberg Red
Look forward to everyones comments

Pretty sure that there's a thread on this in here somewhere. Did you do a search?

Re: Redgum Rum
I don't think anyone has gone through with it, but I've done the charcoal filter with other woods and spirits (as have many others), and can tell you that it makes quite a difference. Give it a go, and make sure you tell us how it works!

Tell you what I'll do, TAF. Next batch of rum I do I'll age some on a bit of redgum charcoal from our fire and see what happens, although I'll be verry wary about drinking it in any great volume.

I'm collecting red gum charcoal as winter ends, titus. Next rum will be a redgum experiment. Could be good honest fun.
