Warning on gate Valve

GRRRRRRR. Was was just looking over my 3/4" gate valve and read the following on it. Warning this product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause reproductive toxicity. What kind of valve is safe?

Gate is just the type of valve (gate or ball valve). Never seen such a warning label. If the valve is made out of brass it could be because most brass has "some" element of lead in it to make it easier to manf. Or, perhaps the valve was originally intended for some particular product or chemical container...hence the warning label would be for the chemical ...not the valve itself. Just don't know. Safest is stainless. Whether to use ball valve or gate is up to your preference. Most brew supply stores sell stainless ball valves. Ball valves have a lever that rotates horizontally to operate the valve ie. open or closed. Gate valves have a "gate" or little disc that covers and uncovers the hole when you turn the knob on the top.

that warning label is on just about everything. california must know something everybody else don,t. extension cord, spray cans and on and on. if it,s got anything but water or tofu in it, it gets a warning label. gotten to where if it starts " known to the state of california" it,s probably safe for the rest of us, but i,m from lousiana and our whole state is "known to the state of calif...................

what IS "reproductive toxicity" I dont wont kids is this going to make reproduction poisonous? LOL Its Ok i dont live in The state of California.
On a seriouse note now, I have seen this lable, or somthing similar, on many things in here in Australia, it seems to me that The state of california has had some birth defects Litegiously blamed on products.
