what does this term mean .
i forgot what it was called its part of fermenting process. the part instead of just dumping fermented wash into the still you do somthing with it . can you explain the name for this and how it is done or what is done . in level 1 english lol i failed at school. and no brewing is not my weekly income lmao.

This is the process of siphoning off the liquid and leaving the grains and yeast in the bottom of your fermenter. I guess this is what your asking.Intoxicated wrote:Racking?

there is"clearing"or letting the solids settle to the bottom,then "racking" witch is explained above.most just do this once others do this several times. depending how clear you want the wash/mash.

oh yes understood prevent the sediment at the bottom from going into the still....
