Is turbo yeast toxic to consume?
I used some to make rootbeer with and I got this weird strain in my neck and ringing in my ears. Is it toxic to consume?
Still crazy after all of these years

in a way,, turbos, seem to produce more fore shots, heads.this is what distillers strive to remove.
it is in all alcohol.more so in some.I would suggest a "cleaner" yeast like a champagne yeast.
also it looks like your bottle conditioning, this will still can have live yeast in it and that also mite be your problem?

bottle conditioning? Live yeast? When I used champagne yeast it never happened. How do I kill the yeast? I usually just put them in the fridge.

Bottle conditioning is putting the "beer" into the bottle either before it has finished working out or a more common way is
to add a bit of sugar before bottling. this carbonates the product.either way you have live yeast..after it is in the bottle there
is no way of killing the yeast.commercial products are just water/flavored syrup/ then carbonated with co2,this you can also do.
if you used champagne yeast and you had no reaction then Id say that the most likely cause is the nutrients maybe excess nitrates?
these are also used in processed meats (sandwich/sausages etc)

yeah, I prime beer. but no need fer rootbeer, because you don't ferent, so it's already primed. I think it's the extra nitrates like you said...was kind of cool that it carbed in 1 day, but not worth the weirdness. I'll stick to champagne yeast ...fuck the turbz
