You know you are running a pot still too slow when. . .
The power rates or propane cost increase more than twice before you finish,
Your wife divorces you, remarries, has a second family and the kids graduate college before you finish,
You die of old age before the run is finished . . .

I'm with you there, coyote. Slow with just the tinkle of copper boil breakers to listen for. I can taste it now.

Simple potstiller. Slow, single run.
(50 litre, propane heated pot still. Coil in bucket condenser - No thermometer, No carbon)
The Reading Lounge AND the Rules We Live By should be compulsory reading
Cumudgeon and loving it.

I was erring on the side of caution when I did my first run of 40L wash. I pulled the plug after 9 hrs.
A short time later I read how fast I should have been running the bugger!
