I have been wanting to build a still for quite sometime and have finally got around to it. Thanks to some great books and information here I'm hoping to make some great stuff.
A little history on me. Until the economy turned, I was a metal sculptor and architectural artist. So my studio is capable of making just about anything in metal. In 2008, I built and founded a Micro Brewery with a good friend and we have been brewing beer like crazy. I questioned my sanity of starting up a brewery in a down economy but folks are clearly still drinkin.
My pipe dream here is to be operating a small still for local distribution in the next few short years. Mostly Vodka based beverages.
So....I will post some pics of my still in the near future. I have lot's of sanitary brewery components at my disposal and I tend to over do things a bit so don't laugh too much. HA!
