Playlist for still-warming party - any suggestions
Greetings,
About to run my first still for the first time. Silly me built an old fashioned CM potstill-wot-thinks-its-a-reflux-column. I'm in the process of designing something a bit more up to date, but as this is the first time I've built pretty much anything that works, thought it deserved a first run and a party.
So I am having a few well-trusted chums around to celebrate and consume the first batch, probably in July.
Thought it would be good to put together some tunes in keeping with the celebration. Any suggestions as to what would be good play at a moonshine/speakeasy party?

Go to the " whats your music thread" over in the off topic forum.
Tha'd be my play list........other than the obvious moonshine song references.

For me it's bluegrass, oldtime, and irish music -- especially references to whiskey. Varying from partying up-beat to down in the gutter nothing's going right type of songs

Ahhh... I grew up singing that song. It's one my grandfather and father would sing at family get togethers. Love it.blind drunk wrote:Nice flat piking right there.Usge wrote:And this
