Soda keg storage?

Seems as though I've heard that some of you use 5 gallon soda kegs for long tern storage and aging.
Does the rubber oring seal cause any issues? Or do you use a different sealing material? Cork or teflon?
I am currently storing and aging in one gallon glass jugs with cork stoppers, but worry about possible breakage.

rubber causes issues. ptfe o-rings are available. dash 44, and t341 are both valid standard part numbers for 3.5"x 3.875 x .1875 this part "might" work as the buna rubber o-ring used on the corney's measures 3.5 x 4.0 x .250 but has a much lower durometer # (much softer) the thicker ptfe o-ring is available but hard to find and i don't have those part numbers. be wary of pricing as i have found prices vary from $3 each to $90 each . remember the quick connects on corneys have rubber o-rings and seals in them too and should be replaced. sis (scientific instrument services) has the lowest pricing but order minimums. cob
