I fell into this hobby because I was Pissed that I could not find a supply of 95% in my area to make Tinctures with.
I do hobby metal work, read entirely to much, and prep for the eventual fall of society....

Started out in the late 70's fixing the last of tube (valve) electronics, then a journeyman electrician in the 80's, to industrial PLC and instrumentation in the 90's and still at it - damn if that shit didn't get complicated over the years... hope to retire by the decades end (if the 2012 rapture doesn't take us all first) either will be well received.

speaking of retirement. i retired at age 50 with 25 years in the fire service and for a part time gig i did the military reserve..21 years 3 months. well boys its been almost 5 years now and i am bored as heck. thinking about getting back to work, retirement isnt all that...it makes long days..
i got a camp, boat and raise a few animals and even go to the gym most weekdays, heck even coach sports ....still i miss not working! go figure

I retired 6 years ago at the age of 54. Had 33 years in with a large international chemical company. The last 15 of those years I worked as a process control computer programmer. I did go back and work part time for the same company doing the same job for a couple of years. I don't regret retiring early. I love it. Makes me wonder how I ever got anything done when I was working.

I do HVAC maintenance and repair at a large automotive plant for over 20 years, still a long way from retirement.
I love the job, but i hate the paperwork that's involved with it since that whole 'global warming' thingie popped up.
I'm more of a hands-on type of guy.
In the weekends you can find me underground, mapping and exploring caves.

i like heights and worked as a rigger on my days off. even hold some certs for high angle rescue. underground confined spaces are another story thou. i will rig, but send someone else down...lol

The amount of energy dissipation across the heating area would be a complete waste. You would spend more on your electric bill then you did on the wash.
