Places to work in distilling?

Post by hotrod77 »

Hey all- I've been enjoying the site and hobby for a bit now, and I'm hooked. Every few years I latch on to a hobby and take it whole hawg, and I'm really enjoying my product. Of course I have no intention of selling anything, but I can't help but think about taking it a few steps further. I live in Georgia, there is only one legally operating distillery that I know of and it's not near my home (we live near Atlanta). If someone's interested in taking the hobby to a "professional" level, where should I look? I'd love to get a job in a distillery and truly learn to become a master. I love dreaming about opening a distillery naturally, but I don't like to get too far ahead of myself. Any advice or pointers?

If your willing to take a low paying dirty job and relocate I'm sure some one will hire you.

Thanks Duck! I'll give it a look, maybe I can find something part-time. I just can't stop the wheels turning, Lord knows I've done plenty of dirty jobs to learn something, hopefully I'll find a good lead....
