Hello from Holland

Post by Wim »

Hello,
I am a new member.

I have found this site through google when I was searching for information about the hobby we share. I've been reading for a few days in this wonderfull community and found a lot of interesting information thank you.

About me: I am from Holland and am new to distilling. It has been done in the family before but I got more and more interest lately, so I wanted to learn more.

I'm going to build a 50 liter RVS Pot Still with a liebig cooler in the near future. I allready have 40 litres worth of prumes fermenting.

Hi Wimmels and welcome.

Are you getting any help/support from family?

Thank you for the welcome.

Yes I have help, my mother helped me make the prumes mash. And a close friend who has been in the distilling trade for a long time will help me build the potstill as well as help me distill the mashes I make. Untill I know how to seperate the heads and tails. Reading the theory and applying that in practise is not the same thing :)

(sorry if I don't use the terms correctly, but the english terms are new for me)

Welcome to the forum, sounds like you are well on your way. Your use of the English language is good. I am leaving for Norway on the 25th and just wished we spoke the language, it is really embarrasing to travel and expect everyone to speak English.
