Hi There from Aus

Post by czedd »

New to distilling. Have been reading a lot and starting to understand some of the principles of distilling and how to build the various stills. ( lot more reading to be done) . Many great tips and designs to choose from. Great informative forum.

As I have a quantity of 3" copper pipe I will attempt to build a pot still for bourbon first and then the popular Bok or Double reducer column at a later stage.

Looking at building a 3" pot still with a shot gun rather than a liebig. I just prefer the collection point closer to the pot (smaller footprint of still).

Thanks

Czedd, after some learning, you can refrase that for sure: "... and defenitely some great product"! When you dive into HD, over and over again, to try to understand all the things that are said about the topics of your choice, in a few months you will be drinking something better than you can buy in a likker store.

Good luck on your trials!

Odin.
