Howdy!

Post by OutYonder »

I'm new to distilling, but want to make something worthwhile! I have the time to put into it, however, I don't know anyone in my area that can help - So be prepared for some probably obvious questions.

Welcome.

There is plenty of stuff here and on the parent site to occupy your time and maybe answer most of your questions before you even know what the questions are.

Welcome OutYonder, there is a lot of info here so if you can break it down you can save a lot of time. After reading the Novice Reading Lounge decide what you want to drink and focus on those areas. If it's vodka or neutrals your probably looking at a reflux still design, if it's bourbon or rum probably a pot still. If you like both than plan on doing a little more research you can build two different heads for your boiler or there are a few designs that are geared to do both. Good luck!
