Prost Bushman!

Octoberfest = great memories. I have been there like 4 or 5 times in the past. If you've got time for it, and grow tired of the October Fest itself, dó visit the Hofbrauhaus in the center. Or the English Gardens. Or the Olympic stadium. Or "Tiergarten". The funny thing about Munich is that they can turn pretty much anything into a beer party! Have fun!

And beware ... beer is not a good cocktail party drink if you don't know where the toilets are!

Octoberfest was great, 14 tents set up 12 that would seat over 1000 people, liter glasses of beer but with the foam I am sure that they made a great profit. Hard to believe they set up these tents, they look like perminant structures and the food and beer served during these weeks of Octoberfest must be incredible! I am currently back in Norway for just over a week and then to Iceland on the way home. I will be ready to get home after almost 2 months and start another fermentation going and taste some of my hooch that has been fermenting. On the positive side I haven't had an opportunity to break into it early, hope my son didn't find it while I was gone!

A little slow with the updates, just got down from the mountains at our relatives cabin about midway up Norway so I had no access to the internet. Had a great time hiking drinking Aquavit and wine and eating food from the region. We have 3 more days in Norway then we are off to Iceland for 6 days before heading home!

I am winding down my vacation and am sad to say I did not visit one distillery in Europe however I had a few great drinks, wine, beer, and liquor. Tomorrow I head to Iceland for 6 days before flying back to the States anyone have any suggestions for me while I'm there?

Thanks to all that have made comments and followed my trip for the last 7 weeks around Europe. Today is my last day in Iceland and tomorrow I head home. I have had a great time and enjoyed many new drinks and foods that I have not experienced before along the way. As a fisherman I have loved the seafood here in Iceland, my only regret on the trip is I did not make it to any distilleries so that will have to be saved until next time. My plans when I get home on Monday is unpack and start laundry and then begin a Birdwatchers wash (maybe not in that order).

Safe travel and fair sea's coming home BM. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us. A de-briefing over a glass of whiskey may be required upon your return.
