I've been reading and searching, and now I'm just going to ask...
I have 1 gallons of sweetfeed mash ready to go. My distiller holds 8 gallons. I put the first 7 gallons in and started a stripping run. Then I got to wondering... Since it will easily fit - can I just add what I've stripped from the first run to the remaining 4 gallons and do a spirit run from there? I can't imagine why not. Any insight would be appreciated.

that would be fine. You'll get the majority 2nd run with the benefit of 1st run flavor from the remaining wash. Give it a go and let us know how you liked it.

Well, it's done and breathing. Just from the smell, everything's great! Thanks.

Hi Risky Business,
This is what I call "distilling 1.5". Gives a lot of benefits. For me the main reason to do this, is you get a lower ABV on your second (1.5) run. Don't have to water down, don't loose taste.
Congrats on your good run!
Odin.
