Huntin North Idaho
Got a good buddy that just built a new place near St Maries Idaho, moved over there and retired. My whole family is from Idaho and Montana and I've hunted Montana for years but never North Idaho. I want a good excuse to go visit my buddy and hunting over there would be a great one, anybody know much about hunting North Idaho? Wildrover?
Sometimes I wonder why is that Frisbee getting bigger......and then it hits me.

if your friend has been there long enough now, first hand experience is always best. if that is not the case get a forest service map to show you public and private ground, a usgs topo to help your mountain skills, and the regulations to keep you out of hot water. i havn't hunted idaho since the reintroduction of wolves, but st. maries was good for deer bear and elk. cob
be water my friend

Hey OlympicMtDoo. I've been slacking about checking the forum since I've been seeing about starting a distillery. Lot's to figure out. Anyways I'm south of there by about an hour and a half. I really want to go duck hunting up there because it's the closest marsh that I know of. It's a beautiful area with lots of pine trees and hills. I don't remember the immediate mountains being too tall and there should be plenty of logging roads through the mountains to ease the process of finding and hauling out your kill. Take pics and show us how it goes! You must be hunting for white tail?OlympicMtDoo wrote:Got a good buddy that just built a new place near St Maries Idaho, moved over there and retired. My buddy just moved over there a couple of months ago so he hasn't got a handle on stuff yet, I just though I might find someone on here from the area that might have alittle info. I probably won't get over there to do any huntin this year, I want to be ready for next year though.

I'm afraid I haven't hunted that far up yet. If I catch wind of some hints over the next year I'll pass them along.OlympicMtDoo wrote:Oh Ya, Wildrover............starting a distillery???? let us know how that goes, and good luck.
Thanks on starting the distillery. It's taking a lot of work to figure this out. It also appears it's going to take a lot of money, which shouldn't be too much of a surprise.
