I am half temped to buy one just to see what it's like... but I read on the forums that copper gives the finished product some of the "taste"? Plus it doesn't have a thermal port for the head temp or a beaker.. bet if I mention it to them the next version will have it! lol

Listen people... The Chinese will knock off anybody and anything. I can tell you this because I have been importing from China for over 10 years. I have been there almost 20 times. Just because the picture looks the same sure as hell don't mean the quality is the same!!! I would like to lead test that shit.

And don't think that because they say its $245.00 that's your final cost. Import tax, shipping, wire fees, customs clearance, QC on location... these all cost a lot of money! I can tell you that I am in the process of moving our manufacturing BACK TO AMERICA!!!

If you think you have found "the pot of gold" on Alibaba! HA HA HA... think again!

UMMMMMM, that's not my column, it's a pre production unit built by another former member.....

Mine is a stainless column, but it's not made with bypass valves, and it has triclamp everything, including sightglasses. That column is a nice one, but it has issues with downcomer performance due to it's internal design.

BUT DONT WORRY, you're ripoff chinese column will not have those problems, because it will have a big empty pipe with four spots to look into it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will never flood!!!!!

So... do you own artisanstilldesign.com???

Your controller in this picture looks awfully familiar to this:
http://www.artisanstilldesign.com/images/control002.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow

I know for a 100% FACT that the owner of artisanstilldesign.com is importing their products from China!

I checked out one of those Chinese companys listed in alibaba called ABANY INTERNATIONAL CO. They quoted that 26 gal milk can with all the fittings for $279.00, plus $258 door to door shipping with FedEx.

I gave this some thought... The next day I placed my order with Hillbilly Stills.

For few bucks more I get to deal with an American. I was not disappointed. They went the extra mile and then some. They noticed I ordered the the three inch dial thermometer (eye candy) but fogot to order the fittings for it. They shipped it to me and weren't even going to charge me. Course I paid for it. That kind of service makes me proud to be an American. Brings tears to my eyes. You won't get that kind of service dealing with any company in China.
I'm goin the distance...

Man I'm sure glad we don't have any members from China on here to read this.

Or do we? :problem:
