I was trying to find a feasable way to control the temp of my still @ 120vac. I saw this http://www.amazon.com/MLCS-9410-20-Amp- ... 892&sr=8-1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow and have been pondering if it would limit the amparage draw to my element or not. Theoretically this unit should be able to control 2400 watts @ 20 amps. My element is 1500 watts = max draw @ 12.5 amps.
My next alternative is this jewel http://www.galco.com/buy/Payne-Engineering/18TBP-1-15" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow
Which would be better?

voltage controller /vs. amp controller
Chew on this: In 1920 During Prohibition, President Harding kept the White House well stocked with bootleg liquor.

@ white_likker1,
There are a couple of Forum Members who use the MLCS 9410 Router Speed Controls. All Router Speed Controls are not robust for long extended continued use and have to be modified with larger heat sinks. Suggest viewing Forum Member Prairiepiss below referenced Forum posting for details ->

For a ‘Heavy Duty” electric heater controller suggest visiting the New Distiller Reading Lounge and review the Phase Angle Control Modules thread for detailed information on building a PSR-25 based phase angle controller. There are numerous Forum Member who are using PSR-25 based phase angle controller to control their electric heater element. Refer to Forum Member MuleKicker Sun Feb 12, 2012 1:30PM posting for a simple detailed schematic drawing.
