Greetings from North Idaho
Howdy,
I am and avid beer brewer, mead maker, and hobby farmer. This seems like a natural extension of my interests. My friend bought a "water purification" still on impulse (the T500) and I needed to help him figure out how to run it. I knew nothing about it, so I was glad to find this forum and to do some research. Now have one run of corn sugar white lightning under my belt and am hooked. Over the past few days I got a sweet feed mash (fed the rest to my goats and sheep ) and corn mash (I will call it "burnt corn bread", because it scorched a little and I added a bunch of honey to the fermenter to kick up the OG) bubbling away in the fermenters. Gotta have have something to run this weekend Thanks for all of the great comments and advice. I look forward to spending some time around here....although it will certainly cut into my other hobbies and avocations...haha

Welcome. Used to live in the Boise and Rupert Idaho, looks like you're in the more scenic parts. Good luck.

Welcome
My only thought for you so far would be before you make your variation of mashes that are
tried and true - try using them as posted here
In the end you will have much less frustration and get a more harmonious outcome.
Read read and then read some more
