I missed this? What do we have here?rockchucker22 wrote:Ok since this is still in the experimental phase, I did a mid run check.
Top thumper 55abv
Middle thumper 15abv
Bottom thumper 9abv
Boiler 0abv
Interesting!
Electric allows you to calculate watts and vapor speed from your amp meter. Actually total vapor volume per minute then divide by average diameter for speed. But, until you have a target vapor speed it will just be numbers.onthekeg wrote:After all you did, the switch to electric will be a no brainer.
What I was trying to say is that with his skills making the still, adding the element and controls will be easy.mash rookie wrote:Electric allows you to calculate watts and vapor speed from your amp meter. Can get some thermo wells for 3 bux and land them at each plate level to monitor vapor temps. Get the vapor temps at the top 3 plates to match and hold and I'd say you would be running really optimally!rockchucker22 wrote:Well that's an idea ive toyed with, and partly why I wanted to see what the abv is/was.LWTCS wrote:No no no wait,,,,,,I got it!!! Build a rig with an internal parrot for each plate level,,,,,,,,hHahaba. Jjst kidding.
PP I'm running propane, so one more ? as to what power this equates to. As you said a spirit run would tell more. So I also need to convert to electric...... Arggg too much to do.
