copper caps

Post by kkbait »

I just ordered a new kettle from Mile Hi , the one with the 1"NPT fitting for a heating element and a 1/2 " NPT fitting for a thermometor.http://www.milehidistilling.com/8-gallo ... -fittings/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow Right now I'm gonna be using it with gas. I need caps for the fittings. Looked locally but couldn't find anything. Any suggestions on where I could find them thanks

I would suggest you use stainless plugs. They don't make copper ones like you need. Brass, black iron, and galvanized iron is about all you would find at a local hardware store. Brass would work if you want find stainless. Just look up pickleing brass.
Grainger or McMastercarr would have them.

What's the price difference? If its a bunch go for the 304. If its not much difference go for the 316.

316 being the higher grade. But both will work fine.
