Fun Day Fishing

Post by Washashore »

Went out scup fishing with my oldest daughter and her kindergarten class--a bit rocky out today but damn was it nice to be out on the water. One of these days I gotta buy a boat.

A bad day of fishing is always better than a good day at work!
It looks like you had some fine weather. How did you make out?

Very true. We caught 4 little scup. Someone caught a small tautog. Stripers are starting to hit pretty good right now I hear.

I get sick just looking at that water. My ancestors were definitely not seafarers. I wonder how the first one got here back in the 1600's....hot air balloon???
Nice to spend time with the kiddos on a beautiful day though!!

A couple of weeks ago while at the docks in Plymouth MA. The guys on their boats said the stripers were hitting.

Very true Bushman! The maintenance, cost of the slip or mooring, insurance, etc... Basically another mortgage payment.

The family has pushed the "buy us a boat" thing very hard several times. I've managed to hold my ground. There are good reasons for the old saying, "The two happiest days of my life were the day I bought my boat ... and the day I sold my boat."

Being on the water is tough to beat though. I'm glad you had a good day.

Regards,
