Wow, great find! The cigars alone are worth double what the deal goes for. Fortunately years ago I saw the wisdom of having two separate CI accounts.

So speaking of cigars, and Cigar Weekly members here?

I have to admit to not much wisdom. What is the benefit of having two accounts? I 've only got one but was able to order this special by clicking on the link in the above post.
Not a cigar weekly member but I am about five minutes away from trying a tatiana mocha

Technically, this is supposed to be a one per customer offer. Sometimes if you use the same account they will reject it if you try to order a second one. You can always just order one using a PayPal account.

Yeah, that's what I did. I have one that I pay only through my PayPal account, and one that I pay through my credit card. It doesn't seem to matter that they both go to the same address, which I suppose is a good thing if two roommates are both cigar smokers.

Make sure you season your humidor before you put your cigars in it.

you can find plenty of clips on youtube about seasoning your humidor, but ill give you a quick summary.

1) buy some clean, unused sponges.
2) either distill or buy some distilled water. you need distilled as any minerals or other things left in tap water or mineral water will leave a residue.
3) you need to get 1 of ur new sponges and soak it in the distilled water. use this sponge to wipe the entire cedar surface. depending on ur initial reading will depend on how much you should wide the humidor down. try not to over do it (its a matter of preference, but i like 70-72% RH). do not excede 75% RH. (--Mine spiked to 80% somehow and while I was away for a few weeks I came back to a white-mould infection that had tainted all of my cigars. the mould only appears when the humidity is too high)
3) soak your humidifier for 15mins with a couple of drops of propyleneglycol solution (i was given some from [urlhttp://www.xikar.com/products/humidification/pg-solution]xikar[/url]) and distilled water.
4) put a sponge soaked in water in the humidor (put something underneath it, like some papertowl or a plastic ziplock bag)
5) leave the sponge and humidifier in the humidor for 24hrs. if its too low (below 65% RH) then wipe down the inside again.

If you don't have any PG solution you should get some. Its great for holding your RH at 70% and it also stops mold. Its cheap and lasts forever. The bottle I was given (Xikar brand) has lasted me over a year and there is still a lot left.

I also found this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnZukYgXUKw" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow . It should help.

If you don't the dry wood will suck the life out of your cigars.

If you have the time (and patience) just put a small dish with water in it inside the humidor and let the wood season itself. It doesnt take more than a few days and eliminates the risk of getting the wood wet enough to warp. You'll also want to salt test your hygrometer to make sure it is calibrated.

Here's a couple of humidor seasoning links. Or you can just sit a shot glass of distilled water in it and wait till your calibrated Hygrometer reads 70.

http://cigars.about.com/od/seasoningane" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow ... 61702c.htm

http://www.thetobaccoshop.com/Humidors/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow ... umidor.htm

How to calibrate your hygrometer:
- Get a little saucer or plastic lid off of a butter tub or cottage cheese container. It needs to fit in a zip lock bag.
- Put a tablespoon of salt on the lid in a pile.
- Add enough distilled water to wet the pile.
- Slide the lid in your ziplock.
- Sit your hygrometer in there and prop it on the edge of the lid so it gets good air circulation.
- Seal it up, and let sit over night. (At least 6 hours)
- Your hygrometer should read 75. If it doesn't take screwdriver and adjust it through the hole on the back till it reads 75.
- Install it in your humidor.

Got my box today, beautiful and a great deal. It says to use a shot glass and water do not wipe with a sponge. Now I gotta get that glycol/ditilled water solution, thanks again.
