Fermented Beverage Production - the book

Post by blind drunk »

This looks like a good book, but expensive. I'm not sure I posted it right - it's a google excerpt freebie. bd.

I have a few books on distilling, beer making and wine making. I have read each one a few times and it seems to me that there are basics that are in all books and ocasionally a new bit of information. I find the expence of 8 to 25 us dollars for each book a value if i am able to glean even one bit of new information.

I am seriously asking you if you feel that a book at that price would give anyone any where near its value in information.

I guess I am asking you what you feel a person might find in that book to justify actually purchasing it. :D

hey scotty, don't know about that book per se but I have shelled out big bucks for baking books and they were well worth it. Written by professionals and scientists they really helped me with my craft. bd.

We should both live so long

PS are you a professional baker??

I used to own 2 very small dellis on long island NY and with all the hours and work we had to do i still always wondered where the bakers found the strength and energy to do thier job. :D

Not a trained professional but managed to turn my passion for naturally leavened bread into a viable living. You're right the hours are endless but shorter than film work  Delis must be hard too. bd.

I still love it but I'm getting a bit old for it now. So I've more or less quit.

This book is pretty awesome. It goes into extreme depth and covers things I've never read. I think its well worth the $50 for paperback.
