ujsm reflux

I'm going to try ujsm and I have a bok still. should I de reflux it? or would i still get flavours running it in reflux but keeping more tails?
I don't know anything about pot stilling...
just for extra info: I have a 3"bok 60"column, filled with lava rock (thank you mash rookie & rubber duck for the lava rock info)

should I run it at 30"? with packing? or no packing?

I'm thinking I should run it de refluxed (30" no packing) and brush up on my pot still cuts...

am I on the right track or is there a faster way?

Pot still mode for a bok is normally packing removed and take off valve full open. Or removed. Coolant flow full on. This would be as close as you could get to a pot still with it. If you leave the packing in you will get some reflux happening. How much? Depends on your still. And you will never know till you try it.

I would start by trying it with the packing removed. So you know what it is like. Then try a run with the packing in place. Then compare the two. And see how much difference it makes. And which one you like better.
