Pinto Beans

Post by Coriverrat »

I live in dry land bean farm country. Has anyone tried to convert pinto beans? They are full of starch and should break down. Just curious.

I will cook some up and use malted barley to break it down. Maybe 10 lbs beans, two lbs of barley, 6 gals. of water, and some whiskey yeast with AG. I'll post what I get. Recommendations please.

from my calculations,,10 lb of beans with starch converted will give you about 11 oz of sugar..beans as food, is high in fiber and 30% protein .
that makes for the "meat substitute"
