Caution: political rant

My brother, who I love dearly, got in my face a week ago. He abhors violence, hoards beans, and listens to right wing nuts. He thought that Haley-Bopp had an alien spaceship behind it, because Art Bell staked his reputation on the fact that some Phd physicist (unnamed) claimed that there was a space ship behind the comet. Well, after the 39 Heaven's Gate followers committed suicide, he changed his mind. He thought that when Obama got elected in 2008, the economy would collapse, so he bought many bags of beans. Wall street has tripled. His beans are still in his basement.

Now that Obama has been re-elected, he is beyond himself. He wants a civil war. He called me up (two blocks away), and said that he wanted to tell me about neighborhood gossip. So I went over to his house, and he just railed me with how treasonous Obama is and how liberal Democrats like me should be tried for treason also. Benghazi, benghazi, benghazi... I told him that I understand his frustration and his predilection for conspiracy theories. I said it is fine that he believes whatever he wants to. He said that there is a civil war coming and that I should bring it on. I don't get it, my guy won, why would I want a civil war? But that didn't slow him down. My brother, a pussy if there ever was one, is so stirred up by right wing radio that he actually wants to fight me.

I usually just wait out his rants, but this one has gone on for over a week. Should I simply beat the crap out of him, or give him my turkey wishbone?
