do i need to clean my jugs? ;)

Hey I'm planning on using 5 gallon distilled water jugs to make my sugar wash, I was wondering if I should empty the water and clean them out, or if I can just use the. Water and containers as the are tightly sealed.. really not sure, but I figure they must be clean to be selling water.

if it was water then use as is.what are you going to do wash water out with more water?

I would put the minimal amount of steriliser. (as recommended by the manufacturers) and rinse put well. Cheaper than wasting a batch

a hint ,if you need to store open ,store inverted .yeast/bacteria does not go up it floats down.
