Made this thing a few years ago. Works great. Wanted to share, it's been a while since I've logged in.

Do you need to flow water in and out of that giant condenser, or is just the capacity enough for a run.?
Nice set up, like the thumper, I may need to build one like that when I get my keg up and running.
Right now I'm operating with a 7 gallon copper pot.
Please show column pics.

Thanks and stay safe.

Nope this time of year the top 1/3 of the barrel will get warm but it stays ice cold at the bottom. Distillate comes out cold.

This is my reflux column, I use a soda machine that I use for beer or anything I want to force carbonate for refluxing or with my immersion wort chiller. Attached a pump for circulating the water. This sends ice cold water through the lines.

Thanks man, this is how I used to use my immersion wort chiller...it didnt have the cooling power that the soda machine has of course. but i didnt waste any water this way.

But now that I have this soda machine it works way better an by tapping into the drain for the tank and hooking up a pump I can now use the cold water for multiple uses ( refluxing, wort/mash chiller) and also enjoy a beer from the tap when I feel like ;) all without wasting any water!
