a freind of mine got his keg from the local beer distributor. he just went in and asked if they could sell him one. i see them on creigs list all the time also. i would hate to pay shipping on one of those heavy sob's.
today marks the dawn of a new error.

Just post on craigslist under willing to buy.. Ask for 20 bucks a keg and you'll meet guys at gas stations with winnebagos full of kegs.. My garage is full of kegs right now I haven't even cut them all out yet

Be careful getting 55 gallon drums.. My buddy and I got burned buying drums that held apple cider.. I wiped some foreshots on the inside when we got back and the coating (which I assumed would be good enough holding drums of organic cider) came right off on the rag.. Imagine that's the stuff holding all the cider we drink around the country.. No wonder the cancer rate is so high :moresarcasm: The more I get into stilling, The more I realize how half ass almost everything is vs ethanol.. I only use stainless steel kegs now for fermenting
Famous last words.. They get what they get and they like it too!

i' got a couple adds placed on craigslist and no hits gettin harder to find kegs at reasonable rates finding a lot of aluminum but not many stainless good luck to you. One thing i did find was a 20qt stainless stock pot on ebay for $18 usd thought about getting 2 of them and welding or soldering them together for a 10 gallon pot

The hits yoou are getting on craigs are probably stainless aluminum is obsolete in US many years now check them out. you will have to look very hard to find aluminum these days.
