So I got a 55 gallon drum of HFCS for free the other day... It's "Liquidose 444 HFCS" and it is extremely thick! I have never played with it before, but I started messing around with it. I started off getting a small sample and disolved it in water. I recorded that i used 200g of HFCS and 500g of water, and my hydrometer read a potential alcohol of 12%. I thought it would be higher than that, but I have enough of it that I'm not too concerned with being greedy... I made a mash of only the HFCS and water, guess I got carried away with the amount of sugar and ended up with a really thick mash! I re-checked my measuring tools and accidentally used ~60% HFCS instead of 40%, so i cut it in half and the hydrometer ended up reading 17%. pitched some baker's yeast and let it go. its been sitting about 24 hours, not doing too much. I was low on yeast so I think that may be one of my issues.
Does anyone have any suggestions for what to do with this stuff? tried any cool experiments? tips for what to add in addition?
Happy stilling...

I've used corn syrup for starters in the past and did find them slower but always fermented out fine. Always use nutrients as DH says,

Google search found me nothing in English for that product? So does it have any preservatives in it?

High fructose corn syrup,It will not have preservatives as sugar is a preservative.

Re: So I stumbled on a drum of HFCS...
I know 17% is high, but given that i only had 2 carboys i can use right now it seemed easier to leave it high then to dump some out and add water. i did add a one a day mens pill to each carboy, easy way i've found. havent found much online either - except its specifically used for frostings and doughnut glazes (something about high gloss characteristics) it is still fermenting away, bit slow because of the low temperature... but not too much i can do about that at the moment.
anyone have any input about tastes that come from HFCS mashes? i figured since it's corn product it will be more whisky like than a neutral wash, and i am running through a pot still... but not sure.

No taste addition at all, it's just sugar for the most part. That is my own judgement from using it, fermented out wit some residual sweetness, some beano may allow it to fully ferment
