Strange thing happened to me. Maybe to you as well? We have far over 10,000 member here and many of them are posting. Still, I find myself (not by consious decision) usually "talking" to members I already know for a long time. Not saying I select like that. It sorta just seems to happen / develop like that.

And then another strange thing happened. I posted something, or someone I know from HD posted something and I answered ... and all of a sudden I looked at the dates of memership (like when we all joined) ... and I realized I am posting, discussing with like three, maybe four other members that all joined in or around November 2010. Just like me.

Do we have generation issues on HD? Do people, joining at around the same time, somehow travel a long distance together? Like going to school together and "doing" highschool?

Now I joined HD in November 2010. I didn't check anybody elses dates, but ... I wouldn't be surprized if a few people I have close contacts with (and whom I meet over and over again - to my gratitude - in various posts) joined around the same time. Just making a start here and guessing / feeling my way around here ...

In the short time I've been here, I've noticed this too. Some I've pm with are at about the same "developmental stage" in our distilling venture. Like soldiers in the same class.

Just some stats for ya, I looked back and 269 people joined that month (Nov 2010) and it looks like three are still active to date.

i too have noticed this! But as a fairly new member I find myself reading post from the people from your group (Odin ,Mr Piss.,Mash Rookie),bunch of showoffs.
