It will be good, if you want to drink so much of it, you should wake up with a head ache next morning. It will be very good if you wake up, next morning, without that head ache.

Might take some time though. Before you get dialed in correctly. And before your UJ is aged long enough.

And then there is another variable: as you start making & drinking your own, your taste will change. That doesn't necesairily make what you make better tasting, but store bought stuff will probably start to taste ... not so good anymore.

best i can do is to say that as in home brewing distillers make their licker to fit their taste with a tweak here and a tweak there so whats good to you may not be good to me you shoot for the way you like it and that is the best licker and like odin said once you get it the way you like it you will taste store bought and think to yourself how did i ever drink this crap. and yes when we run low some of us do have to buy the rotgut sometimes

Once properly aged you notice the color, brilliant ruby garnet. Upon the initial first taste a wave of smoke, meaty with bitter current and ripe fresh yellow dent corn washes the back of your palette. Very structured and yet still closed, but still drinkable with pleasure. The finish is warm. Mouth filling with warm spiced tarry highlights, schist and gneiss. As usual, UJSSM Is a brooding faux usquebaugh.

My experience is that it gets better and better each gen until you start double distilling and then aging and then its really quite wonderful.
After the simplicity and elegance of just corn you start the journey of finding out what you really like and start creating just for your tastes.
