Wtf
It appears that shaw cable in Alberta has some restriction on HD.
My Internet works fine, but I can't connect to the forums unless I switch off my wifi, and use my cell data plan?!
Anyone else experience this?

Re: Wtf
Works good over here. Can you try with an Ethernet cable just to see if it works that way?

Re: Wtf
I was just thinking
Could it be one of your own browsing settings? I've been in shopping malls and hospitals where HD's been blocked, but never anywhere else.

Re: Wtf
I've been reading fine on my ipad using my wifi since the beginning..the all of a sudden, since last night, I can go to any other website (including the parent site, and the AD forums) but the HD forums refuse to load. If I turn off my wifi and switch to 4G, no problems.

try adding a proxy server to your browser, there is a lot free ones about, then try and visit the site.Drunk-N-Smurf wrote:I've been reading fine on my ipad using my wifi since the beginning..the all of a sudden, since last night, I can go to any other website (including the parent site, and the AD forums) but the HD forums refuse to load. Re: Wtf
It's all good now.
My router renewed its ip and got a new one. No problems now.
May have been an over zealous spam filter on the HD server blocking my ip, but not knowing what my old ip was we'll never know.

I'm glad all is well, shaw is pretty open with their customers usage practices it's telus who is absolutely anal about everything including making their customers sign a contract simular to the one wireless cell customers have to sign... 2 to 3 year terms then they have ya by the rocky mountain oystersDrunk-N-Smurf wrote:It's all good now.
