Something for Flavor
I was wondering if there is a certain recipe for like a neutral kind of shine..... meaning something i could distil that i could add some flavor to afterward...like a apple pie mix. Would UJSSM work or would sweet feed work ok. Just wanting an expert opinion.
Re: Something for Flavor
gerber birdwatchers in the tried and true. i also use ujssm and run it through a reflux
Re: Something for Flavor
I tried Gerber as the first batch through my Boka. The wash finished out after 7+ days (I kept it a bit too cool) at about 12% ABV. The distilled product came out of the Boka at about 90+% ABV. As for as taste… it had very little, if any.
I made Apple Pie, Cherry Cobbler, & Lemonade... folks seem to like them pretty good. I calculated the final mix to be about 10-12% ABV. I had a friend's 70 year old mother tell me it was not as strong as she would prefer! If I make more, I'll have to make it a bit stronger for her.
Happy & Safe Stilling!
