Interesting, at least now I know how to pronounce it correctly. I didn't realize the r was silent, at some point I am going to have to try Odin's recipe as my son and wife both like gin and if this is better I should try and keep the family happy :D

Depents which part of the Netherlands you live, some pronounce the "r" like "rrrrrr", others use it silent.
personaly I prefer the steamdistillation of the herbs in a basket and use it like a essence in clean ethanol, Odin uses the herbs in his still.
