Kefir grains

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone has tried using Kefir grains to ferment with or as a starter for a secondary ferment?

I have made kefir but I don't think kefir grains would be able to generate enough alcohol to make it worthwhile for distilling. Just my opinion.
