Will this still work
I want to make shine with it, But really i want to be able to to make other spirits as well. This is my own design . Does anyone see any issues with it ?? How tall should my column be?? thanks for the help. Also . I had trouble figuring out how to just post a new topic. I mean i did it . I dont know if i did it in the right place though. Obviously im a little green . Thanks for looking and in any advice

Yes, you have a CM still and if you haven't run one before you just need to learn how to manage it. Your reflux condenser if it has enough water flow (what are you using as a condenser) should give you a pretty nice product. It doesn't take much to alter things on that rig so very slight adjustments on the water intake, let it settle in before making additional adjustments so that you don't over compensate. Also your product condenser people have a tendency to throw more water at it than is necessary. On mine it takes very little water, feel the water coming out with mine barely open the hot out is still pretty cool.

Thanks for the quick response bushman. I wonder , Do you see a need for scrubbers in this design and should i stick with the 15x diameter of pipe rule as far as the height of the riser goes

Yes, if you want to make vodka or anything with a higher abv, not necessary if your thinking about whiskey but I never take mine out just run it a bit different depending on the product.copperking wrote:Thanks for the quick response bushman.
