Molasses with Acids

So, I went down to the local feed store to see if they had any molasses that would be suitable for rum. They have large 5 gallon buckets of the stuff, but it is not labelled "sulphured" or "unsulphured" and there are several ingredients I am not sure about. It has several acids, including sulfuric acid, and some kind of fat (I am assuming it is good for animals). Does the sulfuric acid mean it is sulphured, or is it safe to distill with?
