Water Cooler

Post by edcp »

Did anyone convert a Home/Office
water cooler to use for cooling the water from the condenser?

I have an extra cooler and a 1/2 " coil (Grandpa's old worm) that may work. :?:

A simple test run with the cooler will tell ya if it will work. Fill a empty carboy with warm water place it on top of the cooler then adjust the water flow coming out of the cooler to match the flow coming out of your still. If it gets hot it's not going to work but if it stays cool it might work. Then put some water in your boiler and try it. If you got the extra cooler ,I think it's worth a try. Let us know how the test run works out.
