dissolve cinnamon oil

I am trying to make a peach with a little cinnamon oil give it a kick. My question is, how do I get the cinnamon oil to dissolve into the 55 abv liquid? I shake it but the oil seems to just float on top.

You aren't going to get much more dissolved. You need to add it to a higher ABV alcohol. Then add water. If you let it sit you mite get a little more dissolved? Shake it every now and then. But more then likely that all she wrote.

If I add it in at 170 proof do you think that it will dissolve and then when I cut it down it will stay that way?

You have a better chance of it. Warming it up may help. You just don't want to heat it up to much.

That's why I like to have a jar of fire piss makins around. I can use it to flavor things. And not worry about it.
