Name My Drink

Post by singlemaltluv »

I've seen this over on a beer forum that I'm a part of and have even seen short version of it here and thought that it was amusing. The rules is that when you is making up a new recipe you have to give a description of what you is doing which mean are you doing an all grain, a sugar head, molasses, fruit, or a combination of anything. After that you will present it to the member here on the board who in turn will give you their best effort of what to name your drink. Once all of the recommendation are made it will go up for a vote for the best one. The owner could use the recommendation that won, or veto the winner and chose the one that he liked, or make up one of his own. I think that this could be fun and I'm look forward to the creativity that we have here especially the ones that may have had a taste or two. What would make it even better is that the owner have labors made up with the new name. So without father waiting I will summit the first.
My plans is to do an sweetfeed all grain using
14 lb of all grain sweetfeed
6 lb of crack corn
10 gallons of water
Alpha Amylase at 150 degrees f
Gluco Amylase at yeast pitching temp.
Maybe US5 yeast hasn't decided yet.
So with that out there lets the games starts
NOW NAME MY DRINK

not sure if it could be called a whiskey because of the molasses in the sweet feed and a corn whiskey because there is more oats then corn.

Interesting idea, if you google a drink called a "Duck Fart" you will find out it was invented by a bartender in Alaska. It's a good party drink. The roomer is he was alone in the bar with a woman customer and they started sampling and mixing different drinks. He named it a Duck Fart as he was originally from the State of Oregon where they have the University of Oregon and their mascot is a Duck. That was a small "bird walk" pun intended! Carry on fun idea.

I LOVE Sweet Baby Ray's!

Maybe use that instead of molasses?

Rum and ribs, anyone?
The Partridge Family were neither partridges nor a family.

If it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck, there's been a breach in the Duck Containment Facility.
