"I see potstills"

Post by apdb »

Ever since digging deep into this website last year, everywhere I look is a still of some fashion waiting to be built. Im a chef in a very old kitchen and there is tonnes of copper pipe or stainless pots or even ingredients everywhere I look. Its quite distracting. Im typing this in the dry storage. Haha

"Houston we have a problem" Come on in Aaron and take a seat here on the bench. I would like to know when you first started having these, shall we say, problems? Let's start at your childhood......LOL!
Ahh, but this too shall pass. Once you get about 25 gallons of good stuff on hand all the time, the pressure will be off, trust me :D !

You should of seen these big copper float balls that i saw yesterday. 12" and heavy guage, when i saw them I wanted one. Called the manager today for price, I only wanted our cost. somewhere about 160$$.

I was not very specific on my intentions as he is a freind who does not know my hobby.

I just wan't to know our price as they were ordered by the U.S. Gov, BLM who are still Shut Down, so they have not ben picked up yet. I hope these floats get lost in the warehouse somewhere. so i can get them at a discounted price in the future.
Yes everywhere i see still parts all of the time.

I have been having the same problem. I go out of my way at the dept stores, and such, to look for SS pots, for my next build. I have been slowly gathering parts, for this. The same syndrome hit me as a river guide. My instructor told us "You'll know you're a true guide, and hooked, when you start reading the water in the street gutters."... And I still do!
