Feed spent grains to the ducks?
So I ran an AG, then a sugarhead off of the same grains. Now it's time to dump the grains and start over. Instead of dumping the grains in the field again, I wonder if it would be safe to feed them to my Pekin & Ruen ducks or if they'd even like it? Has anyone here fed spent grains to ducks?

Spent grains still have most of the protein. A fella down the street feeds spent grain to his chickens and geese when I bring them, don't think the birds read well enough to know about the evils of alcohol. The eggs are good.

Chickens and deer get all of mine. They love it and it hasn't hurt any one of them. I'd start light on the ducks just to let them build a tolerance to fermented grains.

Fowl and deer get easy to capture if you feed them wet spent grains . So do pigs . Spread the grains to let them dry for a day or two before feeding the critters and they will do well on them .

My spent grains goes to pigs and chickens. And I receive product in return. Perfect. Last week got Italian Sausage, breakfast sausage, and a couple of chops. Plus a dozen eggs. A couple of them eggs still warm.

A brewer out here has a pig farm to use the spent grain. He serves the pork in his restaurant. Mighty tasty!

I know one of the distilleries around here sells spent grains to local farmers. In fact, the tour guide grew up nearby, and says they make some really good pork...
