I am envisioning a brand new show… they bring out a bunch of shiners that have no clue then we see an angry Mr P come to set them straight.

For all the things this show is.....or isn't, one thing can not be denied: the show's ability to draw attention. Whether it's people who don't like it, people who never had an interest before but now do, peope who had an interest and are now "learning" from the show, or people in the know who watch to ridicule, here we all are, talking about it. Reminds me of a slightly different scenario...

Most people have heard of radio host Howard Stern. An independant survey of radio listeners resulted as follows -

People who like Stern listened for an average of 2.5 hrs. Reason: I want to hear what he'll say next.
People who don't like Stern listened for an average of 3.5 hrs. Reason: I want to hear what he'll say next.

It is entertaining and also i think it is reviving our culture. The 80's and 90's babies don't know how to even start a fire or to do anything without a button. this show has at least is teaching people to experiment and learn how everything work and not let someone tell you how it works.

It's teaching them the wrong way to do it. Which in my book. Is not good. And down right wrong.

I agree it is wrong, im just glad that these young folks are thinking and watching a show, and hopefully be smart enough to find a forum and continue to do it right. I expect them to come out with a moonshining WII U game before long and then they will really be taught wrong.

I can see that stupid smirk on there face been wiped away already and them coming to the conclusion they are stupid in the art of stilling, I've had a chuckle from them

But the stupid questions we get here isn't worth the show

Actually, it's giving them just enough misleading info to leave it to their own imagination, and that's even worse.

As for the PP show I think we have been watching it for quite a while. Somebody just needs to send his check. :D :D :D

Don't forget the Rad show too, lol.

If it's gonna last they will need a dumba$$ side kick. I could black out a couple of teeth, wear overalls with no shirt, and follow them around saying "yep, he's right!" over and over. And since the name Tickle is taken they could call me Pickle.
Sound funny enough to me right now, tomorrow I will read this and say WTF? :wtf:

But apparently it don't take a whole lot to entertain the masses these days! "yep, he's right!"

Maybe, as long as you show em how to make grits. Of course you had better beat the Cajuns to it. They gonna have a mass influx of Cajuns when they find out about the bounty of mud bugs in Oz.

I blame it on the welfare system. The smart working people have about two kids because they have to pay for them. The dumb ass get checks and have ten kids. So if u strap a plow on all the strong well bred deer and let the retarded deer breed what will happen in a generation of deer. It's simple if u look at it

You can have working people who are pretty stupid, it's not just the preserve of those on the dole.

I got to see the first one of the last season. I liked where the bearded guy was getting the guys that are legal to run a batch for him on his special receipt. He said that the malted corn eats the sugar that he puts in and no one ever tasted anything like it.. I gota get me some of that magic malt that you throw in hot water and stir with that magic mash paddle and it turns into moonshine.

Wonder what might happen when they put 500 gallons of liquid in that ss still with the torch welded seams - might be a flash flood comin' down the mountain.

People were acting and doing stupid things long before this show ever aired. They will also continue this long after the show ends. I think it is just people being people. (Being and acting stupid that is).
My Grandpa used to say. Don't argue with an idiot, because he will just drag you down to his level then beat you with experience.
He also used to say. I didn't say it was your fault. I just said that I was blaming you.

Not all the '80s kids grew up to be stupid. Building a fire was one of the first things I learned. I grew up in the woods; hunting, fishing, and chopping firewood. Being poor will do that to you; you learn fast.

Don't lump all the 80's kids in that batch, I know how to start a fire, run a still with that fire, clean fish, skin a deer. I was brought up right, and would still rather spend a week in the woods over a week in the house. Ill take a lyne arm or fishin pole over a laptop any day.

We should know by now that TV is loose on facts, and very tight on entertainment and manipulation of the audience. Watching TV is playing their game all free with a heavy price.

The internet was free...but these manipulators are almost able to make the internet the same as free TV. The price will be ultra heavy. The manipulators see immense profit provided we do nothing but consume what they provide!
