Don't know if it's off any help to you Bert, but if you're running windows...you can right click on the pics and choose to open them with the windows picture manager (or maybe I'm thinking of office?)...if you have what I'm talking about, in one I the menus (maybe 'picture'), there's an option to resize image, then on the right hand side you can click until both dimensions are below 800 and then saveBig Bert wrote:This is what I call the tri drive, sorry for the bad pics, I have a hard time with the 800 pixel thing, have a ton of pic put can't get them to post, we need 1000 pixel.anyway more on the unit later

Hey BB,
I just wanted to touch base with you on this tri power setup....I've been thinking about this for awhile. It'd be nice to be able to setup a couple of kegs side by side, but I was thinking of somehow being able to switch from one to the next, not necessarily putting heat to both at the same time. Any thoughts?

Hey SS. I guess a guy could try using one keg at a time if you put a plate on top of the keg not under heat or valves in the tube itself to shut down one. I have the kegs connected through the drains to equalize them so if you only fire one keg up it should I think suck the wash out of the cold keg with both valves open ,or you could shut the valves ,stuff the tube that is not in use with copper packing through the window to help stop the run back???

Re: picture sizing
Hey BB, right click on the picture and open it with Paint. Click Edit and just change the pixel count and save. Paint is the most basic photo editing program you have that is part of Windows. Very easy to change your picture size and then they load right up. If you run Mac, sorry, don't know a thing about it....

After looking at your rig, I realized that depending on the heat source, I'd need either two burners or two controllers. So it appears that your rig is the best way to go for two kegs.
Thanks!

Sory but valves on a boiler output. That would shut it off completely. Is a really bad idea. As far as safety is concerned.Big Bert wrote:Hey SS. First possible pressure build up if valves are in the wrong position. Then you have a bomb on your hands.
Second if the valve was closed after a run was complete. When that keg cools. The vacuum created could collapse the keg. Yes it can do this.
Before you say "But that wouldn't happen to me" This isn't about you. This is about safety of everyone that may read this thread. And those that are around you. What if you were running it and something happened to you. And someone else had to shut it down. They then flipped the wrong valve. It's just not a good idea. That should not be done.
I'm surprised no one has really said anything about this setup. Having two separate boilers will have to mess with cuts. Depending on the still head used. It could be all kinds of wonky. Efficiency has to be less then optimal. Not to mention its a little big.

Hi Prairiepiss, you are right about the valves on the out put I just said a man could,if I was to run this set up using one keg at a time I would put a plate on top of the cold keg to stop run back in to it and close the drain valves, that way it is safe. I always and have done it a dozen times or so run both kegs at the same time, with the kegs connected through the drain valves, this way there is equal pressure and wash level in both kegs. As far has making the cuts Ido not have problems, I can get both kegs on line with in minutes of each other, the drive also has a drain so you can drain the fore shots off from both kegs a the same time.you may lose a little of the good stuff this way but we are dealing with two units so that's no big deal. This was designed so one could make one run instead of two and save time,( cook once a month instead of one every two weeks) . The trick is to use the same wash in both kegs , get them up at the same time and watch your temps,I find it very efficient .There is a added bonus, the drive can be turned over and mounted on a boiler and you can run two heads off it, the out put to the heads are controlled by the deflags of each unit. Works for me.
